1. Art Logo
We voted on the 16 different logo submissions and narrowed it down to 2.
Take a look at them and please vote on which one you like! The deadline for voting is December 2, 2010. They are attached! Give us your opinion, we’d love to hear it!
2. Guest Speaker: Jon Phenom
We will be having fashion designer, Jon Phenom, come speak to Art Association and share fabulous tips and insight in regards to the fashion world. Come check out his website and see what’s in store for the next meeting! :) ( Next meeting, December 9, 2010, Thursday, U Hour, 342)

3. Student Gallery
Come check out VPA student’s art work on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 6 p.m. Food and great Art! Will be at ARTS Third Floor.
4. Justice Poetry
Tonight, at 7pm at the Clarke, check out students who share flow poetry on justice. Yummy treats, fun, and an art table will be there represented by Andrew, Arts Association member! Thank you Andrew! :)
5.Veteran’s Art Work
If you participate in exhibiting art work for the Veteran Exhibit, please pick up work by Tuese, November, 23, 2010. Thank you :)
6.Car Wash
The Car Wash fundraiser will be postponed for next semester when its warm. In the meantime, any other fundraiser ideas?? Let us know! :)
7. Officers:
We will be holding an officer meeting to discuss details and calendar. We are aiming for Thursday, December 2, 2010 at U Hour at ARTS 342. Please respond if the date works or what will. We strongly suggest attendance! Thank you! :)

Couldn’t make it to today’s meeting? Here’s what you missed:
James Jones, president of the creative writing community & workshop club on campus, came to talk to us about perhaps collaborating together in the next student art show. James suggested that at the next art show (during Spring 2011), members of his club could do some poetry reading at the opening reception of the art show. What do you think?
Car Wash Fundraiser!
Bring your buckets and your car washing skills to the AA Car Wash Fundraiser! Set tentatively for Nov. 19, 2010, the AA would like to host a car wash at a local gas station to help raise money for the club. The slated time would be 11am-2pm and we are looking for volunteers to help wash cars, make great sales pitches and to make some posters! We also could use any supplies that can be donated like buckets, car soap, sponges, towels and whatever else you can think of. if interested, email president, lauren at reyno046@cougars.csusm.edu.
oh, and don’t forget your sunscreen!
Journals! Journals are still coming in and going out. if you are interested in participating, email Emily at gaude003@csusm.edu. be sure to read the earlier post that gives all the details as well!
Remember, there are only two more meetings left for this semester (Nov. 18th and Dec. 9th)!

Jon Phenom has confirmed with AA and will be a guest speaker at our last meeting of the fall, December 9th.

For those of you that didn’t get to see his presentation last year, Jon is a fashion designer who has worked for the likes of LifeWork LLC. and Fortune 421. He is truly an inspiration, even if you don’t think textiles are your thing.
So don’t miss our last meeting and feel free to bring a friend or two!
